PS Vita’s [west] launch is just a few days away and here comes some quite surprising news.
Yep, you got that right. At launch Sony’s new handheld will have 31 titles – with this number it breaks PS2′s record, which offered 29 titles on its west release day.

SONY is their religion, they'll do hard to twist other brands popularity. Playstation brand is dying, so they're kinda desperate.
More than half of these are available on there console counter-part. A port- version is not the same as original game. eg Uncharted is a only available on PSVita. Title is misleading.
And? That still leaves the most exclusives of any launch. Plus these are some of the best launch titles ever. Gravity Rush will blow you away once you try it!
There are still some good original games as well – Uncharted is a new experience, not a port, Wipeout is a new Wipeout, Unit 13 is all new (if only launch window, not launch day), Shinobidio 2, Escape Plan, SS:D. And while Motorstorm RC is launching on PS3 as well, that's kinda the point – the idea behind the Vita is to create a console-like experience on the go – of course there'll be crossovers!

Lol, now VITA can't receive multiplatform games… Só don't Release Skyrim to Xbox because the Game already was released to ps3… I don't understand this haters…
I don't think it counts when all of the games are just a bunch of lazy ports of existing titles.
Such as Uncharted, Wipeout, Army Corps of Hell, Escape Plan, FIFA (includes well-reviewed touch controls for passing and shooting), Lumines, Motorstorm, Reality Fighters, Shinobido 2, SS:Delta and Unit 13 (nothing that Unit 13 is 'launch window', not launch).
Note the sarcasm. A far stronger argument is that your statement is a lazy port of existing coments.
It's also more quantity than quality judging by the reviews of most of those titles. Only Uncharted stands out. The rest is meh and that makes the vita meh. It's overpriced and will fail anyway. It's not a console, it's a handheld and that is already dying, just like everything Sony.
As for this generation, the reason why there's a few EXCLUSIVE titles for Playstation devices is because 3rd party devs aren't quite supporting it, so SONY had to spend big bucks to support itself. And Playstation fans always think that other gaming systems must follow what SONY did or does. Multiplatforms are the only ways for 3rd party devs to gain profits, and they don't perform well on the Playstation.
